And it declares the failure of Gaza negotiations and the study of “other options”

The American envoy, Steve Whitchov, announced today that Washington withdrew its negotiators from the talks on the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip in the Qatari capital, accusing Hamas of not acting “in good faith.”

“We decided to return our team from Doha to conduct consultations after the recent response from Hamas, which clearly shows her unwillingness to reach a ceasefire in Gaza,” Wittakov wrote on social media, adding, “While the brokers made great efforts, Hamas does not show flexibility or works in good faith.”

He pointed out that Washington will now study “other options to return the prisoners to their homes and try to find a more stable environment for the inhabitants of Gaza.”

“It is unfortunate that Hamas will act in this selfish way,” the US official added, stressing Washington’s desire to “end this conflict and bring a permanent peace in Gaza.”

Prior to this, a senior Israeli official said today, that a long way has come to make progress in the Gaza negotiations, while Israel summoned its negotiating delegation with Hamas in Doha, after receiving the Palestinian movement’s response to the proposal of the truce in the Gaza Strip, where the war continues for 21 months, and the humanitarian crisis is exacerbated by the population of famine, according to the United Nations.

“It is decided to return the negotiation team to Israel to continue the consultations,” said a statement issued by the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, adding, “We are appreciating the efforts of the brokers, Qatar and Egypt, and the efforts of the American envoy (American Steve) and is seeking to achieve a breakthrough in the talks.”
