Dubai, July 26 / WAM / The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority and the “Shell” company discussed cooperation in the field of clean energy
His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al -Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of the Authority, received a delegation from “Shell”, headed by Fakher Badr, Chairman of the company’s board of directors in Iraq and the United Arab Emirates.
According to a press release issued today, the delegation included Geraldine Wesyg, the chief political analyst in the unity of strategic visions and scenarios; And Hessa Abdullah, Head of Media Relations of Trash in the Middle East.
During the meeting, Shell visions shared its latest reports entitled Energy Security Scenals for the year 2025: energy and artificial intelligence, which reviews how artificial intelligence can reshape global energy systems through three different paths: archipelago, horizon, and rush.
These scenarios are important strategic tools for decision makers, as they help them to foresee future challenges, evaluate risk, and determine opportunities in the rapidly changing energy scene. Discussions also dealt with opportunities for cooperation in supporting the circular and green economy. His Excellency Al -Tayer reviewed the leading projects implemented by the authority in the field of clean energy, foremost of which is the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Complex, which is the largest solar energy complex in one location in the world, according to the independent product model.
His Excellency Al -Tayer talked about the “sail” building, the headquarters of the authority, which will be the largest and highest governmental government building in the world. His Excellency also pointed to the achievements of the authority in the field of adopting artificial intelligence techniques, as it launched a strategic road map to be the first digital service institution in the world to adopt artificial intelligence in all its operational operations. Fakher Badr affirmed the “Shell” commitment to support the process of shift to clean energy in the UAE.
