Strong competitions in "Zamili" within" Liwa wet"
Al -Dhafra on July 26 / WAM / The “Mazayina Al -Zamili” competition witnessed within the activities of the Liwa Wet Festival strong competitions between the farmers, with the participation of 37 farms from different emirates of the country, within the framework of the twenty -first session of the festival.
The winners were crowned His Excellency Obaid Al Mazrouei, Executive Director of the Festival and Events Sector, and His Excellency Mohamed Juma Al Mansouri, Executive Director of the Support Services Sector at the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, in the presence of a number of officials and representatives of the participating bodies and festival visitors.
It is noteworthy that the “Mazayina Al -Zamili” competition was included for the first time in the festival competitions this year, with the aim of expanding the scope of participation to include a broader segment of farmers, and financial prizes of 367 thousand dirhams were allocated to her, distributed over 15 winners.
The Zamili class is characterized by medium -sized fruits, yellow to light golden, and a rectangular oval shape with a round base and a small repression.
In a related context, the jury began at the Liwa Wet Festival, this morning, Saturday, to receive farmers’ participation in the Al -Dhafra competitions for the wet elite and “the most beautiful fragrance”, and the results of the two competitions and the “Creativity of the Palm Trunk” will be announced tomorrow evening.
