Egypt loses the final rehearsal for the World Cup against Brazil

Bruno Guimaraes scored an early goal and Endrek added another goal in the second half, as the Brazilian team beat its Egyptian counterpart 2-1 at Huntington Bank Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio, in the last friendly match for the two teams before the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Egyptian national team’s goal came in the 11th minute and was scored by Mostafa Abdel Raouf (Zico), who played in his second international match, after scoring the 1-0 victory over Russia in the last friendly match.

The Egyptian team owes great thanks to its goalkeeper, Mustafa Schubert, who excelled in stopping a number of dangerous balls, especially during the first half, before the team’s defensive performance clearly improved in the second half and reduced the danger in front of its goal.

Egypt will begin its World Cup campaign against Belgium on June 15, then meet New Zealand and Iran in its other two matches in Group Seven.

As for Brazil, it plays its first match in Group C against Morocco, before meeting Haiti and Scotland.
