“Identity and Nationality” warns of electronic accounts that mislead customers

The Federal Authority for Identity, Nationality, Customs and Ports Security has called on all customers, residents, residents and visitors who want to visit the UAE or live and work in, to the need to take care when applying for services and investigating the channels approved to obtain services, and not responding to the misleading ads provided by some offices or companies that are not approved through websites and social media channels.

The authority said, in a press statement yesterday, that it provides its services with simplified and easy procedures through the approved official channels, including its website and its smart application, in addition to the centers and printing offices approved in the country, stressing that it has not provided facilities or benefits for offices or companies that announce on social media about their ability to complete services faster and with lower procedures in order to mislead customers and collect money from them without legal basis.

The authority warned of the spread of electronic practices that violate some accounts in social media and websites, as these authorities promote the services of the authority, claiming their ability to facilitate obtaining some government services provided by the authority faster and without completing the regulations or standards approved, in exchange for exaggerated financial fees.

The authority emphasized that these bodies depend on misleading propaganda methods aimed at exploiting customers, and leading to harm to the reputation of the authority, creating security gaps, in addition to strengthening a black market that threatens justice and transparency in providing services.

The authority confirmed the monitoring of these suspicious practices in preparation for taking the legal measures established in this regard, in cooperation with the competent legal authorities in the state.
