“Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat” implement the “Patient” project initiative to support sick conditions

In the context of its keenness to direct the Zakat funds to those who are entitled to it in accordance with the approved legal banks, the General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat in cooperation with the Tawam Hospital implemented the “Patient” project initiative to support patients with cancer and reduce the suffering of them within the bank of the poor and the Zakati needy.

The authority indicated that this project has contributed to providing therapeutic support to the number of (60) cases of cancer patients, from incurable and salt cases that require rapid therapeutic intervention, indicating that the total of the Zakat funds in this project amounted to (2,092,354) dirhams.

Through this integrated project, the commission affirms its commitment to its humanitarian message in caring for the most needy groups, and achieving the positive social and economic impact of zakat funds in society.
