Lubna Abdel Aziz crowned the Maspero Medal for Creativity in honor of her artistic career

The head of the National Media Authority in Egypt, Ahmed Al -Muslimani, honored the great artist Lubna Abdel Aziz, by granting her “Maspero Medal for Creativity” in appreciation of her long career in the fields of art, culture and media, and her rich contributions that left a clear imprint in the Egyptian and Arab conscience for decades. The honor came in a remarkable human gesture, as Al -Muslimani was keen to visit the artist in her home in the Zamalek neighborhood in Cairo, in a symbolic signal that the medal was linked to the Egyptian radio and television building “Maspero”, which witnessed her media beginnings through the radio.

Lubna Abdel Aziz expressed her deep gratitude for this honor, and considered it a culmination of her long career in artistic and radio giving, appreciating the initiative of Al -Maslamani and his keenness to honor the symbols of culture and media in Egypt. She emphasized that this gesture embodies the state and its official institutions in preserving its intellectual and creative symbols, stressing that preserving the Egyptian cultural heritage is a national responsibility that requires concerted efforts to ensure its continuation and transfer to future generations.

For his part, Al -Maslamani expressed his great pride in honoring the great artist, stressing that “the Medal of Maspero is a tribute to ourselves before it has her”, given the authentic and influential giving in the media and cinema together. He pointed out that Lubna Abdel Aziz was not just a cinematic star, but also a brilliant voice on the Egyptian radio, especially in the European program, as her media career began since childhood, which reflects her extraordinary early talent.

The first steps of Lubna Abdel Aziz began in the media at the age of ten, when Abdel Hamid Younis, the director of European programs at the time, discovered it, and included it on the “Children’s Corner” program. Thanks to the mastery of several languages, including Arabic, English and French, in addition to her talent for presentation, preparation and directing, she was able to present the entire program and it did not exceed fourteen, to become one of the first prominent women’s voices in the history of the Egyptian radio.
