المملكة: Friday weather: rain, fog, and dusty winds in parts of 7 regions

According to the meteorological statement; Moderate to heavy thunderstorms are expected to continue, leading to torrential rains, accompanied by hail showers and active winds in parts of the Asir, Jizan and Najran regions, as well as in the southern parts of the Riyadh and Sharqiya regions, with a chance of fog forming in parts of those regions.

While surface winds that stir up dirt and dust may affect parts of the Al-Jawf and northern border regions and may lead to almost no horizontal visibility.

Red Sea

• Surface winds: northwesterly to northerly at a speed of 15-35 km/h over the northern and central part, and southwesterly to southerly, turning north to northwesterly at a speed of 15-45 km/h reaching more than 50 km/h during the afternoon, with rain thunderclouds forming over the part.
• Wave height: from half a meter to one and a half meters in the northern and central parts, and from one to two meters, reaching above two and a half meters with the formation of rainy thunderclouds in the southern part.
• Sea state: light to moderate waves in the northern and central parts, and medium waves reaching wavy with the formation of rainy thunderclouds in the southern part.

Arabian Gulf

• Surface winds: westerly turning in the afternoon To the northwesterly at a speed of 15-32 km/h in the northern part and northwesterly to southwesterly at a speed of 18-48 km/h in the central and southern part, reaching more than 60 km/h with the formation of rain thunderclouds.
• Wave height: from one and a half to two and a half metres, reaching above two and a half meters with the formation of rainy thunderclouds.
• Sea state: moderate to wavy.
