Dubai inaugurates the first smart system for the fast fire response using “drones”

The General Administration of Civil Defense in Dubai, in cooperation with the General Command of Dubai Police, launched an innovative system that is the first of its kind in the world, for the emergency response to fire accidents using drones.

The Deputy Commander -in -Chief of Civil Defense in Dubai, Major General Jamal Bin Mahdid Al -Muhairi, stressed that the new system represents a qualitative shift in the speed and efficiency of accidents, noting that the Dubai Police provided the operational structure of the system through the aircraft systems center of the General Department of Operations.

Al -Muhairi explained that the system is based on artificial intelligence techniques, such as the behavioral analysis of fire and smoke, and the identification of the concentration of mechanisms, as well as providing the operating room in the “civil defense readiness” with data and information that contribute to enhancing the speed of response and reducing the effects of accidents.

In its first operating stage, the system will cover eight main areas in Dubai, to be expanded to include all vital sites in the emirate before the end of this year.

It is reported that the civil defense in Dubai depends on a bouquet of smart systems to enhance safety and prevention, the most prominent of which is the “Civil Defense Ready” program, which is the first in the world in the field of proactive fire. The program depends on analyzing the huge data in integration with a number of government agencies, to expect the possibilities of fires in specific areas, based on a five -year database.

The program sends awareness messages to the residents of the risk, to highlight the most common fire causes, in a move that reflects Dubai’s commitment to a proactive approach to protect lives and property.
