Sharjah .. (22) interactive platform at the International Forum for Government Communication to draw the future of the quality of life

Sharjah, August 3/ WAM/ The Emirate of Sharjah will witness the activities of the 14th session of the International Forum for Government Communication under the slogan “Communication for the Quality of Life”, which includes more than 22 interactive platforms hosted by the Sharjah Expo Center.
The event constitutes a global intellectual platform that discusses the future of the relationship between governments and societies from the perspective of communication and puts the needs of society at the heart of public needs.
The forum presents in this year’s session, organized by the Media Office of the Sharjah Government, an integrated vision on expanding communication roles to an effective tool in food security, public health, education, environmental sustainability and the green economy, which are all axes that share one point, which is the quality of human life.
The forum raises the issue of food security as a pillar of social and economic stability and reviews how government communication can contribute to building sustainable food awareness and stimulating the adoption of agricultural systems and modern technologies that ensure optimal use of resources and maintain biological diversity.
United Nations reports indicate that more than 670 million people may face malnutrition by 2030 and that about 258 million people are currently suffering from acute food insecurity.
These shocking numbers reinforce the need for effective communication strategies linking societal awareness and sovereign decisions and transforming messages into real change tools.
The forum presents the role of communication in converting health crises into opportunities to build more awareness and response societies through strategies and communication campaigns that reduce the effects of food insecurity and address economic and social gaps in light of what the World Health Organization confirms that 45 % of child deaths under five are related to malnutrition.
His Excellency Alia Al -Suwaidi, Director of the Media Office of the Sharjah Government, said that this year the forum completes its proposals in consolidating the idea of communication as a fundamental element of the engineering engineering and the leadership of positive change, pointing to the role of communication in promoting the participation of societies and building the relationship between the government and the public on the basis of transparency, trust and empowerment.
She emphasized that communication is a main development tool to improve the quality of life, explaining that this year’s session of the forum constitutes an invitation to rethink the roles of communication and expand its functions to respond to environmental, economic and social challenges for a more sustainable future and provide the best life for generations.
Al -Suwaidi explained that the forum, since its inception in 2012, was able to consolidate its location as an intellectual platform affecting the regional and international levels and brings together decision makers, thinkers and experts within a multidisciplinary dialogue to address global challenges from the communication perspective and provide models and strategies based on knowledge and experience.
The forum attaches special importance to education as a long -term communication method for empowering generations, and reviews models to develop educational curricula and link them to future skills such as sustainable agriculture and modern technology, enabling young people to provide practical solutions to agricultural and climate challenges and contribute to ensuring long -term food security.
In a related context, the forum discusses the role of government communication in reshaping urban behavior and the patterns of living in future cities through awareness campaigns that devote concepts of waste reduction, recycling and live according to a responsible environmental pattern.
Figures and statistics indicate that humanity is wasted annually about 1.3 billion tons of food, equivalent to 31 %of global production, while millions suffer from hunger, which highlights the importance of building government narratives that change behavior and not only transfer information.
The forum also introduces the concept of government narration as one of the most prominent tools of influence that provides information and contributes to formulating a new awareness that enhances the relationship between governments and the public through a participatory institutional novel.
The forum provides a perspective of the effective government narration that comes out of the circle of contentment with the promotion of policies and moves to the stage of simulating people’s needs in a human language and translates environmental or nutritional challenges into a close to the individual’s reality and can be understood and connected to them.
The government narration in the files of food waste and climate change embodies a means of persuasion, a tool to change behavior, an emotional and social stimulant and social that creates a shift in concepts and customs.
The forum also discusses the role of the green economy in the sustainability of food, the quality of life and the opportunities offered by government policies and partnerships with the private sector to adopt agricultural practices and carbon emissions techniques by up to 30% by 2050.
United Nations studies indicate that every dollar is invested in sustainable agriculture due to economic and social benefits of 2.5 times, while the green economy can provide more than 24 million jobs globally by 2030.
