Dubai, August 4 / WAM / His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al -Tayer, Managing Director, CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, announced that the value of the electricity transmission network projects implemented by the authority exceeds 7.6 billion dirhams, pointing to the inauguration of four main transportation stations, 132 km, with a transformational capacity of 450 MB during the first half of this year, at a cost of 725 million dirhams, while this included this Projects extending 228 km transport cables.
His Excellency said, in a press statement today, that the authority is working to implement 49 stations of 132 km and two voltage stations.
The authority currently called on the main contractors to submit quotes to implement 11 new transportation stations, 132 km.
During the next three years, the authority intends to launch new tenders to create more than 57 main transportation stations, 132 km, and extending the 160 km ground transport cables.
Engineer Hussein Lootah, Executive Vice President of the Energy Transmission Sector at the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, explained that the new stations cover several areas, including two stations in the fifth coil area to meet energy needs in citizens ’housing projects there, in addition to Hatta, and the fourth men, explaining that the total number of electricity transmission stations of the authority reached 391 stations by the end of the first half of 2025, including 27 main transportation stations 400 A kilometer, 364 main transportation stations, 132 km, and the implementation and launch of projects required more than 4.5 million working hours using the latest internationally approved digital technologies.
It is noteworthy that the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority has established projects to establish 10 main transportation stations, 132 km in several areas in Dubai, including Al Barsha, the second south, the Business Bay, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Airport City, Nad Al -Sheba, and Wadi Al -Safa Fifth at a total cost of up to 1.1 billion dirhams.
The Authority also established projects to extend the 132 km voltage cables to connect the new major transportation stations to the main electricity transport network with a total length of 60.6 km, at a total cost of 288 million dirhams.
