The demand for machinery in Germany was recovered during June

German machinery and engineering companies recorded a noticeable decrease in new requests during the month of June.

According to the German Federation concerned with the “DMA” sector, the demand decreased in the second quarter in general by 2% at the real value, despite the strong demand from the eurozone countries, and thanks to a strong start this year, the values of real requests witnessed a slight increase of 1% in the first half of the year.

“This increase is mainly due to the high demand from the countries of the eurozone, and this is supposed to be a positive sign that Europe enhances its position as an economic site,” said the chief economist in the Federation, Johannes Girnant.
