“Zayed Humanity” celebrates the 33th anniversary of its founding .. Nahyan bin Zayed praises the UAE in humanitarian work

The Zayed Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Works celebrates the 33rd anniversary of its establishment, on the fifth of August 1992, at the hands of the founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may God rest his soul”, as the Foundation has managed over the past three decades to establish its position as a beacon of humanitarian and charitable giving, and providing aid that exceeded two billion dirhams, and reached more than 185 countries around the world.

His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Works, stressed that the United Arab Emirates, led by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, continues to play a pioneering role in the field of humanitarian and development work, thanks to an ambitious vision and qualitative initiatives that enhance its global position in this field.

His Highness explained that the unique status that the UAE takes into account today in charitable work is the fruit of contracts from hard and sincere work, and an authentic human heritage that laid the pillars of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may God rest his soul”, and followed his approach to the wise leadership, until the state became a model to help the needy and enhance the values of solidarity and tolerance at the international level, indicating that the specialized state institutions, in the forefront of the Zayed Foundation For charitable and humanitarian work, it contributes an active role in delivering aid to its beneficiaries, and achieving a tangible impact on the lives of millions, through sustainable development projects that focus on education, health, water and social welfare, in a manner that ensures the construction of a more stable and fair future for the most needy societies.

For his part, Dr. Mohamed Atiq Al -Falahi, Director General of the Foundation, stressed that the thirty -third anniversary of the establishment of the Foundation represents an important station in its career, and its continuous commitment to Sheikh Zayed’s approach, in extending a helping hand to every needy, without discrimination, and strengthening partnerships with local and international bodies to achieve a sustainable human impact, explaining that the institution was implemented during the first half of 2025 a number of vital projects in several countries, which included the establishment of centers To take care of children with determination in Kazakhstan, implementing solar powered water desalination projects in Egypt, Jordan and Tanzania, as well as building schools in Tajikistan, operating hospitals and medical centers in Pakistan, Mauritania and Morocco, in cooperation with a number of health institutions.

He pointed out that the Foundation also signed a set of agreements with humanitarian and government agencies, to enhance the sustainability of its projects, and to expand its services in various needy regions, stressing that these efforts come within a comprehensive strategy that aims to maximize the human impact, and to perpetuate the role of the UAE as a global center for good and giving. He pointed out that the Zayed Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Works is continuing in its noble mission, drawing on its vision from the legacy of the founding father, Sheikh Zayed, “may God rest his soul”, and with the support of the wise leadership, to remain an honorable model in humanitarian work, and a basic pillar in enhancing the state’s presence in the fields of regional and international giving.
