2.3 billion riyals .. Consumer spending in Saudi Arabia on “foods and drinks”

The Saudi Central Bank, “Sama”, revealed that the food and beverage sector export the sectors in the value of the “consumer spending” points during the past week ending on August 2, with an operations value of 2.3 billion riyals, high by 38.2%, recording 54.6 million operations, an increase of 14%.
According to the weekly operations report, a sector came second with the value of operations amounting to about 1.9 billion riyals, an increase of 22.8%, and with 59.6 million operations, an increase of 14.4%.

Transportation sector

The report indicated that the transportation sector came third in the spending of consumers, with the value of operations amounting to 1.2 billion riyals, while the fourth place in the professional and commercial services sector with the value of operations amounting to 1.19 billion riyals.
According to the report, the clothing and accessories sector came in the fifth rank, registering 1.11 billion riyals, while the sixth fuel stations sector came with an operations value of about 1.09 billion riyals.
According to the report, the health sector came seventh with an operations value of 1.02 billion riyals.
The bulletin indicated that the vehicle and spare parts trade sector came in the eighth place with the value of operations amounting to 624.9 million riyals, followed by the furniture and home supplies sector with the value of operations amounting to 552.4 million riyals.
The newsletter stated that the medical services sector came ninth in the spending of consumers with the value of operations amounting to 507.4 million riyals, followed by the building materials and construction sector with the value of operations amounting to 442 million riyals.
The culture and entertainment sector recorded a sales value of 398.8 million riyals, while the jewelry sector recorded sales of 377.9 million riyals.

15.6 billion riyals sales sales

The total value of sales sales “consumer spending” during the past week reached about 15.6 billion riyals, compared to 11.9 billion riyals, in the previous week, an increase of 31.5%, while the number of operations reached 244 million operations, compared to 206.4 million operations, an increase of 18.2%.
The report indicated that the city of Riyadh came first in the spending of consumers from among the cities, with the value of operations amounting to 5.08 billion riyals, an increase of 24.3%, while the second place came in Jeddah, with an operations value of 2.1 billion riyals.

Dammam is third

It ranked third in the city of Dammam, with an operations value of 698.9 million riyals, an increase of 23.3%, while the number of operations reached 9.1 million operations, an increase of 13.5%.
The report pointed out that Makkah Al -Mukarramah ranked fourth with the value of operations amounting to about 646 million riyals, while it came in the fifth rank, Medina, with the value of operations amounting to 632.3 million riyals.
The city of Taif ranked sixth with an operations value of 484.8 million riyals, an increase of 48.5% on a weekly basis.
