We intend to completely control the Gaza Strip .. But we will not rule it

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said today, Thursday, that Israel intends to control the entire Gaza Strip, and will eventually give it to Arab forces that are adequately governed.
He added, in an interview with “Fox News”, in response to a question whether Israel will control the entire sector: “We intend to do so, we do not want to keep it, we want a security environment, we do not want to rule it, we do not want to be there as a ruling entity.”
Netanyahu said, in a press conference with Indian journalists, after his meeting with the Indian Ambassador, that the plan leads to handing over the Gaza Strip to a “ruling body that is temporarily managed.” He explained: «We want to hand over Arab forces to control Gaza efficiently without our threat, and with a good life to the residents of Gaza. This is not possible with (Hamas).
Netanyahu added that the war may end “tomorrow” if “Hamas” threw its weapon, and handed over the protesters to Israel unconditionally.
The “Axios” news website stated that US President Donald Trump decided not to object to Netanyahu’s decision to occupy the entire Gaza Strip, and he decided to let the Israeli government make the decisions it deems appropriate.
The site confirmed that the leading leaders of the Israeli army and some security officials oppose the occupation of Gaza, and that the Chief of Staff of the Israeli Army, Eyal Zamir, said to Linaho at a meeting that he was “moving towards a trap” by occupying the entire Gaza Strip.
The Israeli security council is scheduled to meet today, to discuss the possibility of expanding military operations in the Gaza Strip, a step that will face a strong opposition, whether internationally or within Israel, including from the families of the hostages protesting in Hamas.
An Israeli official said that the security council is expected to take place a lengthy discussion and agree to an expanded military plan to control the entire Gaza Strip or parts of it that is still outside Israeli control, according to the “German News Agency.”
The official, who spoke, provided that his identity is not disclosed pending the issuance of an official decision, said that any plan is approved will be implemented gradually with the aim of increasing pressure on the “Hamas movement”.
