The decrease in foreign exchange reserves in China during July

Beijing on August 8/ WAM/ The total foreign exchange reserves in China amounted to 3.2922 trillion dollars at the end of last July, a decrease of $ 25.2 billion or 0.76 % compared to the end of last June, according to data issued by the National Foreign Cash Authority in China on Thursday.

The authority stated in a statement, reported by the new China News Agency “Xinhua”, that the US dollar index rose last month, while the prices of global financial assets witnessed up and down, affected by factors such as macroeconomic data, monetary policies and economic expectations for major economies.

The authority pointed out that the decrease in the total foreign exchange reserves in China is due to the common impact of exchange rate transfers and asset price fluctuations.
