The UAE national team for modern law "Yacht category" Participates for the first time in the Asian Championship
Dubai, August 9/ WAM/ The UAE national team is participating in the SSL category (SSL) in the 2026 Asian Championship competitions scheduled for Thailand, which is qualified for the World Cup Finals.
From tomorrow, the national team will play an external camp in Switzerland as part of the intense preparations to participate in the Asian Championship for the first time, as the camp continues until August 20.
The Emirates Federation for Plain and Rowing announced the talk about the national team list that will run the camp, and included 10 players led by the Olympic player Adel Khaled.
Mohamed Abdullah Al -Obaidli, Secretary -General of the Emirates Federation for Place and Modern Rowing, said that this participation is a historic moment, as it represents the first participation in the history of the Emirates within the SSL League competitions.
Al -Obaidli stressed that the federation seeks to prepare a strong team, capable of competing in the Asian 2026 championship and qualifying for the World Cup, with a focus on building a generation of citizens who possess skill, experience, and high competitive spirit.
