"Emirates Association for Parental Welfare" It continues its efforts to strengthen family cohesion

Dubai, April 20 / WAM / The Emirates Society for Parental Care – Dubai Branch continues to enhance its societal and humanitarian role by implementing a series of initiatives and events aimed at caring for senior citizens and residents and consolidating the values of respect and cooperation within the family and society.
The association explained that its activity in the Year of the Family 2026 focuses on strengthening family cohesion and providing direct field support to the target groups, based on the association’s strategy for the current year related to the Year of the Family, which aims to strengthen intergenerational bonding, spread the values of respect and kindness to parents, and provide social and psychological support to senior citizens and residents with the participation of the family, in addition to launching cultural, educational and entertainment programs that contribute to strengthening family ties.
Nisreen bin Darwish, head of the association’s administrative body, said that the “Year of the Family” represents an opportunity to expand the scope of the programs and initiatives implemented by the association to include all family members, in a way that enhances the stability and cohesion of society.
She added that the initiatives included organizing activities targeting the family and society together, such as the Parents Initiative to promote family values between generations, organizing visits for senior citizens to the city of Hatta, and visits to Al Jalila Hospital – Children’s Cancer Department with the aim of providing social and moral support to patients and their families, in addition to training workshops under the slogan “Our elders first and respecting them is our responsibility” to enhance the culture of respect and appreciation for the elderly.
During the current year, the Society organized about 78 various events, implemented 18 humanitarian and development projects, and provided about 2,300 direct aid cases, while more than 500 volunteers participated in its activities, and the number of beneficiaries of its initiatives reached 1,400 beneficiaries, which reflects its commitment to expanding the scope of its services and programs in a sustainable manner, in accordance with its general strategy that aims to enhance family and community values.
