7045 new hotel rooms were completed in Dubai within 3 years

According to data issued by the Dubai Data and Statistics Corporation, the total number of new hotel rooms that were completed from 2022 to the end of 2024 amounted to 7045 hotel rooms, at growth rates exceeding 5% in the total number of hotel rooms. The data monitored by «Emirates Today», through reports from the Dubai Data and Statistics Corporation, based on the indicators of the Department of Tourism and Commercial Marketing, showed that Dubai markets have witnessed high growth rates in the completion of the new hotel rooms since 2022, which witnessed the existence of 120 thousand and 602 hotel rooms, increased to 123 thousand and 881 rooms, to continue to record new increases and reach 127 thousand and 647 hotel rooms at the end 2024.

The Foundation’s data indicated the completion of 33 new hotels in the Dubai market from 2022 to the end of 2024, an increase of 5.4%, pointing out that the number of hotels in Dubai increased from 610 hotels during the year 2022, to reach 625 hotels during the year 2023, then continued to rise until it reached 643 hotels during the year 2024.

She revealed that the total number of hotel rooms and hotel apartments units combined in Dubai markets reached at the end of 2024 to 154 thousand and 16 rooms, compared to 146 thousand and 496 rooms and apartment during the year 2022.

The data showed the rise in the total hotel facilities in Dubai, which includes hotels and hotel apartments buildings from 804 facilities during the year 2022, to 821 facilities during the year 2023, then increased to 832 facilities by the end of 2024, pointing out that the number of hotel apartments reached 25 thousand and 894 during 2022, then rose during two years to 26 thousand and 369 apartments by the end of 2024, with an increase 475 apartments within two years, with a growth rate of 1.8%.

The annual report for the performance of the tourism sector in Dubai, issued by the Department of Economy and Tourism, expected the total hotel rooms in Dubai to 158 thousand and 845 hotel rooms by the end of this year 2025, (which is about 4.8 thousand new hotel rooms), supported by an increase of 3% in the number of hotels in the category of “four stars”.
