Dubai, August 13 / WAM / The Indian company “Omega Siki Mobily”, which specializes in the manufacture of electric vehicles, announced the launch of its first industrial facility outside India to collect electric vehicles in the Jabal Ali free zone “Jafza”, with an investment of 92 million dirhams over five years.

The facility, which is the first of its kind in Jafza in the field of electric vehicles, extends over an area of more than 42,000 square feet, and will assemble the “omega -Siki Mobilyte” electric vehicles with two wheels and three wheels, as well as store and distribute cars and spare parts, and the facility is expected to start its business by the end of 2025.

Thanks to its strategic location, the facility will serve the export markets in the Middle East and Africa, and will provide more than 100 job opportunities in the first stage, and will contribute to strengthening trade relations between the UAE and India in the field of environmentally friendly technology.

Abdullah Al -Hashemi, CEO of Operations, Colleges and Free Zones in “DB and Bred”, the Gulf Cooperation Council states, said that the facility adds a qualitative value to the innovative movement system, and strengthens Dubai’s position as a global center for the auto sector, while the manufacturers are increasingly popular with Jafza to take advantage of the chances of rapid growth in the markets of the Middle East, Africa and other regions, pointing to expectations That the value of the electric vehicle market in the Middle East and North Africa region reaches $ 14.5 billion by 2029, thanks to supporting government policies, high demand, and expansion of infrastructure.

He explained that the company is also planning to provide models that work with compressed natural gas in some African markets, as this fuel represents a practical solution as an environmentally friendly alternative in many regions, until the infrastructure of electric cars is better developed.
