12 new aircraft enhances the strategic “flydubai” growth in 2025

Flydubai said it continues to implement its long -term strategic vision to enhance the continuity of its strategic growth by receiving seven new Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, noting that five additional aircraft are expected to join before the end of the year.

This enables it to expand its network and continuously, improve the efficiency of operations and increase the pace of trips on the current destinations.

The carrier added in a statement: The flydubai received between April and August seven new aircraft, which increased the total number of aircraft to 93 aircraft and with the end of the year the flydubai fleet will reach more than 95 aircraft, serving a wide network of more than 135 destinations in 57 countries.

This accelerated expansion confirms the flydubai commitment to open new markets and expand travel options for passengers, which enhances Dubai’s position as a leading global aviation center.

“The arrival of these new aircraft is evidence of our long -term strategic vision, and our investment in the fleet supports our mission to provide more options and maintain the quality of service and the convenience of passengers. These planes come within the largely late requests in the past years, and despite the receipt of 12 aircraft this year we are still late with 20 aircraft from the planned schedule.”

Al -Ghaith added: “The constant interest in financing partners reflects the strength of our business model and our commitment to contributing to Dubai’s support in the leadership of the global aviation sector. These planes will allow us to expand our network and destinations and link Dubai to global markets and provide more travel options for our passengers via the growing flydubai network and play a greater role in supporting Dubai as a global pioneering axis of aviation.”

The company explained that the carrier’s ability to secure competitive financing for these aircraft reflects the confidence of global financial institutions and leasing companies, which reflects the strength of its business model and its future growth prospects, the positive demand from the market confirms the company’s flexibility and role as a major engine in the aviation sector in the UAE.

The funding of the first seven aircraft that it received this year was secured through Islamic financing from the Islamic Bank of Abu Dhabi (ADIB), traditional financing from Ras Al Khaimah Bank (RAK Bank), as well as sales and financing deals from JP Lease Products & Services Co., Ltd and Jlps Ireland Limited.

She stated that she continues to expand its network by adding 11 new destinations this year, including seasonal summer destinations such as Antalya and Al -Alam, in addition to Damascus and Bashhawar.

The carrier is also preparing to open four new destinations in Europe, including Kishinao and Yash, starting from September, Filinos and Riga from December, which enhances its presence in the region and providing more travel options for our customers.

Fly Dubai has continued to invest in improving products and customer experience, since the beginning of 2024, 23 Boeing 737-800 aircraft of the new generation has been updated as part of the fleet updating project, which costs several million dollars, which will continue until 2026.

The new cabin is characterized by a business seats that can be converted into a family, with a modern entertainment system in the tourist degree and will provide a more comfortable travel experience for travelers across the fleet.

She indicated that in light of the support of continuous strategic growth plans, the number of employees in the company grew to reach more than 6,500 employees in the various departments of the company under the Flei Dubai’s recruitment program, an increase of 10% compared to 2024.

The carrier also launched the pilot training program from the basic stage for the MPL license to qualify students to become future pilots, playing a key role in supporting the growth plans for the carrier.
