المملكة: From 73 to 128 countries .. The global attendance escalated in the King Abdulaziz Competition and a record in the value of the awards
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the kind patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God protect him – hosts the activities of the forty -fifth session of King Abdulaziz International Competition International Conservation The Noble Qur’an and its recitation and interpretation, which started on Saturday 15/2/1447 AH, and organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, in the embodiment of the approach of the rational leadership in caring for the Holy Qur’an and its people and maximizing its affairs, and supporting everything that serves its publication and education. And His Highness the Crown Prince, Prime Minister Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God protect them – to confirm the Kingdom’s fixed approach to caring for the Holy Qur’an and its people, In appreciation of his preservation , and to encourage them to continue their blessed giving, and with the follow -up and interest of His Excellency the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, General Supervisor of Local and International Quranic Competitions, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif bin Abdulaziz Al Sheikh, the competition achieved a remarkable growth in the number of participants, countries and the value of prizes. 1440 AH, 109 contestants from 73 countries participated, and the value of the prizes reached one million and a hundred and forty -five thousand riyals. /> During these years, the competition witnessed continuous growth:
- In the forty -first session in 1441 AH, the number rose to 147 contestants from 103 countries, with prizes of one million and one hundred and eighty five thousand riyals. SAR. Smart with direct guidance and continuous supervision from His Excellency Minister Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif bin Abdulaziz Al Sheikh, in 2019, the electronic arbitration system was created to replace the paper system, in a move formed a qualitative shift in the King Abdulaziz International Competition for the Holy Quran. Electronic, and building comprehensive questions that guarantee justice and transparency in arbitration, which reflects the future view of employing modern technology to serve the competition and achieving the highest standards of integrity and transparency.
