"Luxor for African cinema" It launches the film admission form for its fifteenth session
& nbsp; Sayyet Sayed Fouad, founder and president of the Luxor Festival for African Cinema, announced that the admission form has been launched in the four main competitions of the festival. They are films that exceed 60 minutes, and the short films competition & quot; registration/ novelist/ movement & quot; The films in the two competitions are for African directors, the Diaspora Film Competition for features, feature or documentary films, which are for African directors residing outside the continent and making films about Africa with international eyes, and a competition for young films from Qena and Luxor. Luxor Festival for African Cinema – in a press statement today, Saturday -: & quot; it was decided several months before the launch of the festival, organizing a workshop directed to all those interested in making the short film without a budget, targeting the youth of Luxor and Qena, with the aim of raising their efficiency and giving them the opportunity to become part of the map of Egyptian and African cinema art. This initiative is not only limited to the presentation of workshops in the arts of cinema, but also includes opening the door to apply for a special film competition in the governorates of Luxor and Qena, as it will participate in the jury of members of the two governorates themselves & quot;

The festival administration also announced that the fifteenth session will be held during the period from March 30 and will continue until April 5, 2026 in Luxor in southern Egypt, and the films will start receiving on the festival site from August 20 and will continue until November 25 2025, provided that all the films presented are produced in 2025 and have not previously been shown in Egypt. Cinematographers, the Egyptian National Bank, Egypt International Film Company and the Kimit Boutros Ghali Foundation for Peace and Knowledge, and the honorary president for the next festival session, is the great star Mahmoud Hamida.
