“Emirates Health” launches an integrated plan to enhance students’ health with the start of the new academic year

The Emirates Health Services Foundation confirmed its completion of its preparations to receive the academic year 2025-2026 by setting a comprehensive plan aimed at enhancing students’ health and consolidating a safe and sustainable educational environment, reflecting its commitment to support the continuation of the educational process through an integrated system of high -quality health services.
The Executive Director of the Acting Medical Services Sector at the Emirates Health Services Corporation, Dr. Essam Al -Zarouni, explained that the Foundation is continuing to develop the health support system in schools to be more able to respond to the needs of students, adding: “We are keen that our schools are safe and stimulating learning by providing integrated health services that keep pace with the highest national standards and contribute to protecting students and enhancing their health, to ensure that the new school year is a starting point towards More excellence and achievement. “
Comprehensive equipment and advanced preventive programs
The Foundation’s preparations, which oversee 312 government schools and 333 school clinics throughout the country, included supporting these clinics with qualified medical and nursing cadres and providing them with all the necessary requirements, to provide health care services in full efficiency throughout the academic year, and the institution also issued a “return guide to schools”, which includes a comprehensive set of health guidelines directed to students and parents, to help them start the year With health and safe steps.
The Foundation strengthened the comprehensive examination program for students by adding new examinations that contribute to early detection of diseases and health problems, in proportion to the various ages, as well as organizing training programs for the health staff to raise the level of readiness and the rapid response to any health emergency.
The last academic year witnessed the reception of more than 95 thousand students of vaccinations included in the national program for immunization within the school clinics supervised by the institution, while the Foundation continues this year its awareness campaigns calling for completing vaccinations on time and following healthy lifestyles based on eating balanced food and maintaining personal hygiene and adhering to daily preventive habits to enhance students’ immunity.
Family role
For its part, Dr. Shamsa Lootah, Director of Public Health Services Department at the Foundation, stressed the importance of the integration of roles between the family and the school, adding: “The provision of a healthy school environment requires close cooperation between parents and educational and health staff, and our messages for this year focus on the role of the family in consolidating the daily health behavior of children, starting with interest in balanced nutrition and adequate sleep, and to promote awareness With personal hygiene and preventive practices that protect their health and support their educational career.
