"Sharjah works" It issued its report for 2024, reviewing the achievements of the infrastructure

Sharjah, on August 21 / WAM / The Public Works Department in Sharjah, represented by the Institutional Communication Center, issued its annual report of 2024, which reviewed the most prominent initiatives, projects and achievements achieved by the department during the past year, in its various sectors.
The report included an opening speech by His Excellency Eng. Ali bin Shaheen Al -Suwaidi, head of the Public Works Department in Sharjah, in which he explained that the issuance of the report aims to document the department’s efforts and achievements throughout the year, and to provide a comprehensive reference for customers and interested people, reflects the department’s commitment to enhancing sustainability and excellence in infrastructure and urban development projects in the Emirate of Sharjah, in a way that supports its vision in achieving a sustainable leadership in This vital sector.
Maryam Al -Mazmi, Director of the Center for Institutional Communication in the department, stressed that the report reflects the department’s commitment to achieving its strategic goals through the implementation of qualitative projects, and the adoption of studied plans that are in line with the changes and future requirements, noting that the department is inspired by its visions from the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and seeks to meet the leadership’s aspirations towards the highest levels of efficiency and leadership.
Al -Mazami added that the report provides a comprehensive picture of the performance indicators achieved during the year 2024, and highlights the results of the strategic plan, and reflects the size of the efforts made in the advancement of various urban sectors, noting that the report constitutes an important analytical tool for decision makers and investors, in line with the urban renaissance witnessed in the emirate.
The report reviewed the construction projects of buildings and public utilities, such as the Al -Saqarin Club buildings project, Al -Suyouh Gardens, Al Dhaid University, maintenance, sustainability, decoration and institutionalization of institutional partnerships as well as infrastructure and sanitation projects, including the completion of Al Dhaid sanitation station, and the implementation of integrated sewage networks in the areas of Al -Suwaihat and Al -Ramia, as well as other projects that serve the sustainable urban development goals.
The department’s efforts also dealt with building a stimulating work environment and enhancing investment in human cadres, by attracting national competencies, increasing resettlement, and rehabilitating future leaders, within a framework of governance and transparency and providing proactive services to the public.
