Sharjah reviews the requirements for the participation of “basket” in Asia and “hand” in the World Cup

The team of collective games at the Sharjah Club held a press conference, during which it reviewed the requirements of the next stage, the challenges awaiting the hand and basketball teams, in light of the first historical participation of the “Hand of the King” in the World Championship for Clubs “Super Globe 2025”, and the participation of the basketball team in the “Super West Asian” league for the AFC Champions League.

The hand team in Sharjah is preparing to run in the “Super Globe 2025”, scheduled to be held in Egypt, from September 26 to the second of next October, after winning last year the Asian Champions Clubs Championship for the first time in its history, while the basketball team is running the continental championship as a champion of the league last season, representing the Emirates alongside Al -Ahly youth.

The conference was attended by a member of the club’s board of directors and the head of institutional communication, Mohamed Bouhmahah, a member of the Board of Directors of the Collective Games, the handball supervisor, Jassim Mohamed, the Brazilian coach for the hand team, Carlos Tata, the coach of basketball, Abdel Hamid Ibrahim, and the director of the first basketball team, Hisham Salem.

International imprint

Jassim Mohamed said: «Participation in front of handball giants in the world requires great effort and preparation.

He added: «Our continental crowning last November, the fruit of work and sacrifices, and today we have a greater challenge with teams that hand ball is considered a first sport. Our goal is to defend our gains locally, and to achieve a new international imprint, and the management of group games has provided the requirements of success, including the use of international coach Carlos Tata, who has made the task since he received the task on July 20, a clear shift in the team’s performance.

For his part, Brazilian coach Carlos Tata said: “I am proud to join Sharjah, and I look forward to setting my expertise to help the team locally and externally. We have to focus on developing players’ skills in proportion to the size of the challenge. ”

He added: «The next stage requires strong experiences through external camps that precede the World Cup. We will lead the performance of the players during local matches, and we may resort to strengthening the ranks with a goalkeeper, wing, and playmaker before the tournament.

In turn, the technical director of Sharjah Basket, Abdel Hamid Ibrahim, stressed that Sharjah is not satisfied with the first place in all his participation, and said: “The king has previously crowned the Arab Clubs 2011, and the two Gulf clubs 2018 and 2019, and today we are facing a new test. We have a young group that has proven itself with the team and the team, along with new foreign professionals. ”

He added: “We realize the difficulty of the task, especially in front of Gulf teams supported by huge budgets, such as the Saudi Al -Ala Club, which spent about five million dollars on contracts, but we are determined to provide a level worthy of the reputation of Sharjah Club.”
