“DPDDRDD” is partnership with the Japanese “Itooso”

Dubai Ports World Group “DPDDRED” has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Japanese commercial company “Itooso”, to expand the logistical services package and infrastructure for supply chains and distribution capabilities in sub -Saharan Africa.
Under the Memorandum of Understanding, the two parties will explore opportunities to enhance commercial linking and access to markets in Africa, support Japanese companies that seek to consolidate or enhance their presence in the continent, and initial discussions focus on fleet and logistical services operations, improve supply chains, and distribute goods and food products.
“Africa represents one of the most dynamic growth fronts in global trade, and cooperation with Itooso reflects a common vision to achieve added value, by combining our experiences in infrastructure, logistical services and (Itooso commercial) experiences, to build deeper ties between Africa and Japan,” said Beit Simon.
For his part, the CEO of “Ephroka Block” at Itooso, Shinia Ishzuka, said: “We hope this cooperation will contribute to strengthening projects between the two parties, in addition to building bridges of communication between Japanese companies wishing to expand in the African markets.”
It is noteworthy that «DPDDRD) is working in more than 48 countries in the African continent, through a wide network of ports, stations and logistical assets, and has invested more than three billion dollars in the development of infrastructure, with plans to invest another three billion dollars over the three years to the next five.
