"Danik" You get the International Renewable Energy Certificate

Abu Dhabi on August 22 / WAM / ADNEC Group, one of the city companies, obtained the first international renewable energy certificate “I-REC”, from the Emirates Water and Electricity Company, according to the accreditation issued by the Energy Department-Abu Dhabi, and according to the standards set by the International Track Standards Corporation “I-TRACK”, to record a qualitative achievement in the field of sustainability.

This certificate proves that the ADNEC Abu Dhabi Center relied entirely on clean energy to cover its operating needs since November 2024, in which he hosted 166 activities, which included exhibitions, conferences and meetings, all of which were held using 100%renewable energy sources.

The certificate is highlighted that the ADNEC Abu Dhabi Center consumed more than 13.700 megawatts/hour of electricity generated by clean energy sources, which led to a reduction in carbon dioxide emissions resulting from power generation to zero, and this prominent achievement has been achieved thanks to cooperation with the Emirates Water and Electricity Company during the year 2024, to become the ADNEC Abu Dhabi Center the first and largest activities center in the Middle East region Africa works entirely with clean energy.

It is noteworthy that the International Renewable Energy Certificate “I-REC” for the ADNEC Group has undergone a verification and audit of the International Track Standards Corporation “I-TRACK”, the world leader in clean energy programs and sustainability initiatives.

The evaluation process included the consumption of the Denic Abu Dhabi Energy Center, from November 2024 to April 30, 2025, as the total electricity used reached 13,703 megawatts/hour, which was fully generated from renewable sources.

As one of the signed authorities, the ADNEC Group, as one of the signed authorities, adheres to the “Safar Carbon Emissions” initiative, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through all its commercial operations and activities organizing activities.
