Dubai receives 11.17 million international tourists in 7 months

The Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai revealed the latest statistics on the performance of the tourism sector and the number of international visitors, as the emirate’s success in attracting 11.17 million international tourists showed during the first seven months of this year, compared to 10.62 million tourists in the same period last year, with a growth of about 5%.
According to data issued by the department, “Emirates Today” obtained a copy of it, Western Europe ranked first, in terms of visitors to Dubai, based on the geographical area, valued at 21% of the total number of visitors during the period between January and July 2025, recording more than 2.33 million international tourists, followed by the Gulf Cooperation Council region for the Arab Gulf States with about 16%, recording about 1.8 million tourists.
In turn, Russia, the Association of Independent Countries and Eastern Europe ranked third with about 15%, recording more than 1.65 million tourists, while South Asia acquired about 15% of the total number of international tourists to Dubai, also recording more than 1.63 million tourists.
For its part, the Middle East and North Africa region recorded 1.24 million tourists, or 11% of the total, while North and Southeast Asian countries acquired a share of 9% of the total, recording more than one million international tourists.
The total number of international tourists from the Americas reached more than 793 thousand international tourists, with two of 7% of the total number, compared to a share of about 4% for Africa, at a rate of about 473 thousand visitors, while the “Australia” region acquired a percentage of about 2% and at a rate of 214 thousand international tourists.
In addition, the number of hotel rooms in Dubai at the end of July 2025 reached more than 152.3 thousand hotel rooms within 821 hotel facilities, compared to about 150 thousand hotel rooms within 825 facilities at the end of July 2024, and the average hotel occupancy in all facilities operating in Dubai recorded 79.1% during the period between January July 2025, compared to 77.1% in the same period in 2024.
The luxury hotel rooms in the category of “five -star” acquired 35% of the total size of the hotel market in Dubai, recording about 53.7 thousand hotel rooms within 167 hotel facilities, followed by the “four -star” hotel rooms with 29%, recording about 43.7 thousand hotel rooms within 196 facilities.
For its part, the categorical hotels between “three stars” and “star” acquired about 19% of the total size of the hotel market, with a capacity of 29.3 thousand hotel rooms within 277 hotel facilities, while hotel apartments recorded more than 25.5 thousand rooms within 181 facilities, to acquire about 17% of the total size of the hotel market in Dubai.
The duration of the inmates in Dubai hotels, at the end of last July, recorded 3.7 hotel nights compared to 3.6 nights in the same period in 2024, while the number of nights (seized rooms) reached about 25.5 million nights compared to about 24.5 million nights overnight during the comparison period, with a growth rate of about 4%.
The daily price of the hotel room in Dubai reached 551 dirhams during the end of July 2025, compared to 527 dirhams in the same period last year, with a growth of 5%, while the average revenue from the available rooms reached 435 dirhams at the end of last July, compared to 406 dirhams in the same period last year, with a growth of about 7%.
