"Dubai Electricity": project "Green hydrogen" He produced 100 tons since its launch

Dubai, August 26 /WAM /His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al -Tayer, Managing Director, CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, said that since its launch in May 2021, more than 100 tons of green hydrogen have been used mostly to produce more than 1.15 GB of green energy using a hydrogen gas engine, which contributed to reducing more than 515 tons of emissions Carbonia.
He pointed out that approximately 11 tons of hydrogen were used in various sectors, including providing hydrogen cars with fuel via the Enok Future Service Station in Expo Dubai.
The “Green Hydrogen” project is the first of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa to produce hydrogen using solar energy.
The project, which is implemented by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority in cooperation with Expo 2020 Dubai and Siemens Energy Company, produces about 20 kilograms of green hydrogen per hour, and the hydrogen gas tank can store up to 12 hours of hydrogen produced using solar energy and the stored hydrogen can be used to produce energy through a hydrogen gas engine with a capacity of about 300 kilowatts of electrical energy.
The green hydrogen station is designed and built, to be able to absorb future applications and test platforms for various uses of hydrogen, including energy production, air, land, and maritime transport sectors.
