Emirati support enhances the steadfastness of Palestinian women in facing challenges

Amal Al -Agha, President of the Palestinian Women’s Union in Cairo, praised the great role played by the United Arab Emirates and the General Women’s Federation in supporting the Palestinian people, especially Palestinian women, by providing various aspects of support, including the ongoing humanitarian and food assistance, stressing that these estimated efforts help Palestinian women survive and resist and face challenges in these difficult circumstances that the Palestinian people are going through, especially in Gaza.

In a statement to “WAM”, Al -Agha noted the continuous support of the UAE for charitable societies concerned with women’s affairs, as well as support for Palestinian women and students through civil society societies, stressing that this support reduces the burdens of women and the Palestinian family.

Al -Agha praised the efforts of the General Women’s Union in the UAE, stressing that he plays a pioneering role in supporting Palestinian women’s associations and programs directed to support the Palestinian women and girl, and described these efforts as a distinct model for Arab solidarity in facing the repercussions of the war.

She referred to the contributions of the UAE since the beginning of the war in Gaza within the initiatives of “Al -Faris Al -Shahh” and “Birds of Good” that included the establishment and support of field hospitals and the implementation of vaccination campaigns for children, which enabled Palestinian women to maintain the health of their family, as well as providing continuous food aid.

Al -Agha said that the UAE contributed to the implementation of vital projects in cooperation with Egypt to secure drinking water from Al -Arish Water Station, in favor of the affected areas as a result of the Israeli occupation bombing water sources and targeting wells on which the residents of the Gaza Strip depend.

Al -Agha expressed its deep appreciation to the UAE for its continuous support, praising Egypt’s role in facilitating the introduction of humanitarian aid from the Emirates to the Gaza Strip.
