2875 new membership of businesswomen in the Abu Dhabi Chamber during the first half

Abu Dhabi, August 27/ WAM/ The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry announced more than 2875 new memberships for businesswomen in the Abu Dhabi Chamber during the first half of 2025, in a clear indication of the growing presence of women in the local economic scene, and the speed of the development of the environment supporting the leadership of women’s business in the emirate.
According to the data issued by the Chamber, the “creative” license constituted the largest percentage, with a total of 1,352 memberships and 47% of the total membership of new Emirati businesswomen within 6 months, which reflects the great demand for creative projects and home initiatives.
The number of licenses of the “Abu Dhabi merchant” reached 891 memberships, with 30% of these new memberships, which confirms the increasing interest by business entrepreneurs in the entry of the business world.
As for the regular licenses, it recorded 406 memberships, while the number of licenses of the type of “branch” reached 94 memberships, which indicates that many women are seeking to expand existing work or opening new branches for their companies.
The number of licenses in the field of “free professions” reached 86 memberships, which reflects growth in independent work and specialized professional skills.
Emirati women are active in a variety of economic sectors, including trade, services and creative projects, as well as unconventional areas such as agriculture and industry.
This diversity reflects the breadth of women’s entrepreneurship horizons in the emirate, and its ability to actively contribute to various economic activities, in order to enhance diversity and sustainability in the local economy.
This remarkable growth comes within a short period of time as a result of the efforts of the Abu Dhabi Business Women Council of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which continues its role in supporting and empowering women through training programs, qualitative events, and financing and consulting initiatives designed to support business entrepreneurs from the foundation stage to expansion.
This data reflects the readiness of the business environment in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to receive a new generation of Emirati business leaders, and confirms that empowering women economically has become a basic pillar within the sustainable economic diversification plans pursued by the emirate.
His Excellency Asmaa Al -Fahim, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Business Women Council, confirmed that the recorded results reflect the continuous progress achieved by the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in strengthening their economic competitiveness, driven by a clear vision to empower women and enhance their participation in various vital sectors.
She said that these positive indicators embody the pivotal role played by the Abu Dhabi Chamber and its affiliated parties, led by the Abu Dhabi Business Women Council, in building a more comprehensive and varied economic system, based on the empowerment of national competencies, especially Emirati women, as a major partner in the development process.
She pointed out that these results highlight the efforts of the Abu Dhabi Business Women Council to consolidate the position of Emirati women in the national economy, through an integrated system of training programs, financing and consulting initiatives, and interactive events that keep pace with the aspirations of business leaders, and support their career from start to expansion and sustainable growth.
