Alba cooperates with studies to advance sustainability efforts in the Kingdom

As part of its commitment to strengthening national partnerships in various areas of sustainable development, Aluminum Aluminum SEP signed. (Alba) Memorandum of Understanding with the Bahrain Center for Strategic and International Studies and Energy (Studies), aimed at advancing the efforts of environmental and social aspects and governance in order to support the achievement of the sustainable development goals of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The Memorandum of Understanding provides for joint cooperation between Alba and studies in the areas of raising energy generation efficiency, reducing carbon emissions, and achieving the optimal balance between economic and environmental priorities. The main initiatives included in the Memorandum of Understanding include conducting a specialized research study to determine the optimal mix of energy generation technologies to meet the operating processes of Alba operations, in addition to formulating a unified framework for environmental and social aspects initiatives and governance led by a joint work team of experts from Alba and studies.

The signing ceremony of the agreement took place on August 27, 2025 at the headquarters of the Center for Studies in Awali, where the CEO of Alba, Ali Al -Baqali, and the CEO of the Center for Studies, Abdullah Muhammad Al -Ahmad, signed in the presence of senior officials from both sides.

In this regard, Al -Ba CEO, Ali Al -Baqali, commented:

“The Memorandum of Understanding with the Center for our established commitment to sustainability and innovation is embodied. By integrating our industrial experiences with the research capabilities of the center, we set the basis for launching leading initiatives in terms of environmental and social aspects and governance that supports Alba’s march, and enhances achieving the national goals of the Kingdom of Bahrain. We aspire through this partnership to create leading solutions in the field of renewable energy and reduce Carbon emissions combine economic feasibility and environmental responsibility.

For his part, the CEO of the Center for Studies Abdullah Muhammad Al -Ahmad said:

“The Memorandum of Understanding reflects our common vision of the importance of strengthening research partnerships in the fields of energy and sustainability. Through the use of advanced sporting models to analyze the scenarios conducted by the artificial intelligence laboratory of the center’s renewable energy, we seek to provide practical data -based solutions that support the economic competitiveness and environmental goals of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the long term.”

It should be noted that this cooperation between the Alba Company and the Center for Studies is consistent with the commitment of the Kingdom of Bahrain to achieve carbon neutrality by 2060, as it is a prominent station in the march of Alba Company towards enhancing environmental and social aspects and governance and at the same time stresses the importance of strategic partnerships in advancing sustainable industrial growth, promoting scientific research, and achieving long -term gains for the local community.
