Khalifa bin Mohammed bin Khalid praises the role of the Cairo Museum in preserving human heritage

Cairo, August 28 / WAM / His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Alexandria University – Abu Dhabi praised the important role played by the Cairo Museum in preserving human heritage and spreading knowledge.
His Excellency stressed that such visits contribute to supporting cultural understanding and enhancing aspects of academic cooperation between educational institutions in the United Arab Emirates and the Arab Republic of Egypt.
His Excellency came during a tour of the Cairo Museum in Tahrir Square, which reflected the depth of cultural relations between the two countries, at the end of his official visit to Egypt.
During the tour, His Excellency briefed the accompanying delegation on the most prominent archaeological holdings hosted by the museum, which reflects the richness of ancient Egyptian civilization, from Pharaonic statues, royal pieces and historical inscriptions, and the members of the delegation listened to a detailed explanation about the development of arts and architecture in ancient Egypt through the Pharaonic, Greek and Roman times.
The visit had witnessed official meetings with officials of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Alexandria University, which focused on discussing ways to enhance academic cooperation between the two sides, within the framework of the ongoing preparations for the launch of the Alexandria University branch – Abu Dhabi with the beginning of the academic year 2025/2026.
