The Al -Faris 3 operation opens the largest water project in the Gaza Strip

Today, an Emirati delegation opened the project of the transmission water line from the Emirati desalination stations in the Egyptian territories to the Gaza Strip, in a qualitative step aimed at securing the desalinated water for tens of thousands of families suffering from a suffocating thirst crisis since the outbreak of the war.

The opening of the Emirati project, which was organized by the Al -Faris 3 operation in the Gaza Strip, was attended by a committee to support the process and representatives of the Water Authority and Municipalities of the Sahel, in addition to legal personalities, elders and officials in the Palestinian society, and the operation announced through which the operation of the carrier water line from the Emirati desalination stations in Egyptian territory to the southern Gaza Strip regions formally.

The largest Emirati water line extends, with a length of 7 kilometers and 500 meters, with a productivity of about 2 million gallons per day, and it serves more than a million people, and it was linked to the Al -Buraq tank in Khan Yunis with a capacity of 5000 mg to feed additional areas of water.

This project comes as a continuation of continuous Emirati efforts that included the construction of 6 desalination plants, the entry of tanks, tanks and maintenance of wells, to form a lifeline for the residents of the sector and reduce the severity of the water crisis that hundreds of thousands of displaced people suffer from.

After the opening, a field tour took place for journalists, civil society notables, and mayors to see the water line and tanks scattered in various regions, and to follow up the process of pumping drinking water to reception points and tanks distributed throughout the sector.

The project reflects the commitment of the UAE and its wise leadership to support the inhabitants of Gaza and secure the most important elements of life for them, as part of a series of humanitarian initiatives launched by the Al -Faris 3.
