A lawyer calls for an increase in his fees 10 times

The Abu Dhabi Appeals Court for Family and Civil and Administrative Code I supported a ruling to the court of first degree, which was estimated by a lawyer’s fees based on the effort made and the benefit that returned to the required against them at the amount of 10 thousand dirhams, and refused to request the appellant to increase fees by 10 times.
The details of the case are due to the fact that the grievance established his grievance on a bond that he had previously submitted an order on a petition to estimate his fees, and the grievance decision was issued from him to estimate the fees of the law due to him in the light of the effort made and the benefit that returned to what was required against them in the amount of 10 thousand dirhams, but he considered that the grievance decision was a mistake in implementing the law, as he turned out of the fees signed between the appellant On civil and commercial issues by 10% of the value of each lawsuit.
The Court of Appeal stated that “the first instance court applied to the appellant’s request regarding the assessment of his fees, the provision of Law No. 23 of 1991 regarding the organization of the legal profession, and its ability to it based on the effort made and the benefit that returned to what is required against them from that law The disputed percentage of it, in violation of the text of Article 31 of the law regulating the law in effect at the time of the signing of the agreement.
