The conclusion of the task of the Emirati rescue team in Albania

The Emirati rescue team concluded its participation in supporting firefighting efforts in the Republic of Albania, after a qualitative field performance, which witnessed high coordination with the Albanian authorities and effective participation in various air and logistical operations.

These efforts come in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and the rational leadership of the UAE’s leadership to provide humanitarian and relief support to friendly countries in times of crisis.

During the task, the team carried out 28 specialized sorties that resulted in more than 700 water drops, using approximately 1300 tons of water in the damaged areas of fire, which directly contributed to controlling multiple fire foci and limiting their expansion.

The efforts of the Emirati team won the estimate of the Albanian government, as an official ceremony was held to honor the participating Emirati teams, as an expression of Albania’s gratitude for the great support that the UAE provided in this exceptional circumstance.

This participation reflects the depth of bilateral relations between the UAE and the Republic of Albania, and the permanent commitment of the country to contribute to the efforts of humanitarian and environmental response regionally and internationally.
