“Dubai Roads” liberates 1098 violations of vehicles for the distribution of home gas cylinders

In the context of its commitment to achieving the highest levels of public safety and vocational organization of commercial transport activities, the Roads and Transport Authority carried out 4322 field inspections on the activity of distributing home gas, during which 1098 violations were liberated through the joint inspection campaigns of the Committee for the Regulation of Petroleum Madecles, in cooperation with 15 relevant authorities in the Emirate of Dubai, during the years 2023-2024 and the first six months of this year.
The Director of the Observation Activities Control Department at the Licensing Corporation in the Roads and Transport Authority, Saeed Al -Ramsi, stressed that the activity of the distribution of home gas is one of the vital activities with a direct impact on the environment and the health and safety of community members, which requires strict control to ensure the extent of vehicles commitment to the requirements for practicing activity and monitoring of adulterated or unknown gas cylinders in order to avoid the possible negative negative effects.
Al -Ramsi said: “These campaigns come within the framework of the authority’s efforts to achieve its strategic goals of promoting environmental safety and sustainability, and raising the operational efficiency in the transport sector, leading to achieving a safe and happy urban environment for members of society.”
He also explained that the campaigns targeted many areas throughout the emirate, and that one of the most prominent abuses, which was monitored by the campaign team, was the seizure of adulterated gas cylinders and other unknown source, in addition to practicing the transportation and leasing activity without a permit, as it has been completed throughout this period about 170 violating vehicles.
Al -Ramsi called on all installations to practice the activity of distributing home gas to complete adherence to the approved legislation and regulations, and the use of vehicles licensed to practice the activity, stressing that the authority will continue to implement its control campaigns with firmness, and will not tolerate the taking of legal measures against the violators, in order to enhance the safety of the emirate’s residents, and to ensure the quality of services provided to the public.
