Al -Murrar heads the UAE delegation participating in the meeting of the Ministerial Council of the Cooperation Council

The Minister of State, Khalifa Shaheen Al -Murre, chaired the delegation of the United Arab Emirates participating in the meeting of the Ministerial Council of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, in its 165th session, which was held yesterday in the sisterly State of Kuwait.

A final statement was issued by the meeting, which included a review of the latest developments in political and global political issues, and the position of the GCC states on issues of common concern, in addition to emphasizing the fixed position of the Cooperation Council regarding the rejection of the Iranian occupation of the three islands of the United Arab Emirates: Greater Tunb, Lesser and Abu Mossi.

The statement also pointed to the importance of strengthening the countries of the Cooperation Council for partnerships with countries and active groups at the international level, and to continue the dialogues and develop strategic relations between the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf and the regional and international organizations and organizations.

In a related context, the ministers held the second joint ministerial meeting between the Cooperation Council and Japan, where a number of files of common concern and ways to enhance cooperation and coordination were discussed in various fields.

The joint action plan was approved between the Cooperation Council and Japan for the period 2024-2028 and assigned the General Secretariat of the Council to follow up its implementation.
