Etihad Airways achieves 1.1 billion dirhams, net profits within 6 months

He explained that the net profits of “Etihad Airways” during the first six months of this year 2025, after calculating the tax amounted to 1.1 billion dirhams, an increase of 32%, compared to the same period last year, driven by strong and increasing demand for passenger services, promoting productivity and efficiency, and improving revenues in both travelers and shipping sectors, and total revenues increased by 16% on an annual basis, as a result of growth Travelers ’revenues by 16%, and shipping revenues by 9%.
Nevis pointed out that the financial performance of the company has maintained strong levels, as the profits increased before calculating benefits, taxes, depreciation and consumption by 24% on an annual basis to reach 2.7 billion dirhams, while the profit margin has improved to 20%.
He revealed that “Etihad Airways” transported 10.2 million passengers during the first half of 2025, an increase of 17% on an annual basis, indicating that the carrier achieved a prominent achievement in the beginning of July 2025 by transporting more than 20 million passengers during a period of 12 months, equivalent to twice the number of passengers registered in the year 2022, which enhances its position as the fastest growing airline in the region.
He added that the operational fleet of the carrier exceeded 100 aircraft, as the fleet witnessed the largest expansion process in the history of the company last July, with five new aircraft, including the first Airbus A321LR, the highest number of aircraft received by “Etihad Airways” in one month, indicating that this expansion allows the carrier to serve approximately 90 destinations, including permanent destinations throughout the year and seasonal flights.
Nevis stated that Etihad Airways exceeded the target levels of growth within its strategy, and continues to focus on implementation efficiently by adhering to ambitious expansion plans based on efficiency, service and innovation.
He said that the first half of the year 2025 witnessed more than 1700 new employees joining the “Etihad Airways”, including more than 100 pilots, and about 1,000 air hospitality crew members, indicating that “Etihad Airways” aims to be the first preferred destination for Emirati talents, also pointing to the continuation of training programs for pilots, engineers and technicians in attracting the best citizenship talents.
27 new destinations
