Ajman, September 5 / WAM / tomorrow, Saturday, the 44th anniversary of the assumption of His Highness Sheikh Hamid bin Rashid Al -Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, the reins of government in the emirate, succeeding his late father, Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al -Nuaimi, may God bless him, to start from September 6, 1981 new chapters in the history of Ajman, rich in wisdom, vision, and a good approach. The emirate ably, putting the human being in the heart of every project, renaissance and transformation.
His Highness was born in the city of Ajman, and his first education began in the episodes of the mosque, where he received the sciences of the Qur’an, hadith and the origins of jurisprudence, before he continued his studies at the hands of a group of scholars in language and mathematics. He also practiced equestrian and martial arts, and trained early on the affairs of government and administration, inherent to his late father, Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al -Nuaimi, so he helped him and his closest sons to him.
He was chosen as the Crown Prince in the year 1960, and was elected Vice -President of the UAE Council, Rehabilitation in 1966, and then participated, a representative or companion of his father, in the discussions of the establishment of the State of the Union from 1968, until the establishment of the state officially on the second of December 1971, to be one of the makers of the historical moment.
Since assuming power on September 6, 1981, His Highness Sheikh Hamid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi began a new stage of the national construction, established Ajman’s modern position at the regional and international levels.

In 1983, the Rashid Bin Hamid Award for Culture and Science was launched to honor the distinguished and distinguished, and contributed to the consolidation of the traditions of celebrating science and scholars in the emirate. In higher education, he led qualitative constituent steps: in 1988, the founding of the Ajman College of Science and Technology (Ajman University later) was nurtured, and he nurtured the establishment of the Gulf Medical College in 1998, the city of Al -Madinah Ajman, and other educational institutions to be Ajman, a beacon of knowledge and knowledge.
In appreciation of this pioneering role, two honorary doctoral universities granted him: in law from the University of Bedfordshire in the United Kingdom in 2009, and in philosophy from the International Islamic University of Malaysia in 2011, in addition to his choice of a distinguished year’s character in the Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Prize for Excellence in 2011.
The human dimension is strongly attended by His Highness’s march; The Mother of the Women’s Association was established in 1974, and the International Charitable Business Authority in 1984 is one of the first charities at the state level, and the Social Takaful Fund to help those who come to marry in the same year. This system of initiatives has been reflected in promoting societal cohesion, and building a tolerant environment that takes into account human needs and gives it opportunities to rise.
Under the leadership of His Highness, the Renaissance scene was completed with a gradual urban and economic expansion based on planning; The Urban Development Plan was approved until 2030, and programs to stimulate quality and excellence were launched through Emiri Decree No. (6) of 2008 in the Ajman Excellence Program, while creating an attractive environment for investment and expanding the role of the private sector in the construction of educational and health institutions in addition to the governmental role. This is parallel to security attention and providing its requirements in support of the concerned agencies and creating their work environment.
And because the identity is not complete without its heritage and sporting spirit, His Highness the Governor of Ajman has given special attention to authentic sports: camels, equestrian races, marine and heritage races and Arab horse beauty competitions, as well as following up on various sports activities in the country.
In daily life, His Highness remained close to the spirit and religion of society; He is keen on praying in congregation in his mosque in the Emiri Diwan, establishing breakfast tables in Ramadan and receiving the well -wishers in the “Palace of Al -Zahir” council, reflecting the model of the father, the father, and the person who is inhabited by values and translated by verbs.
The passage of 44 years since the assumption of His Highness Sheikh Hamid bin Rashid Al -Nuaimi is not just a history that is remembered, but a station to highlight a school of leadership based on human service, launching initiatives, strengthening institutions, involving society, and preserving identity while opening up to the prospects of development.
