Oil and cars exports reduce the trade deficit of Canada

Ottawa on September 5 / WAM / Canadian trade deficit in commodity decreased to $ 4.9 billion during July, with a larger surplus in trade with the United States thanks to the high oil and cars exports.

The positive results were driven by Canadian exports to the United States by 5%, while imports from the largest commercial partner of Canada fell by 2.2%, which led to a trade surplus of $ 6.7 billion during July, compared to 3.7 billion dollars during June.
The total Canadian exports increased by 0.9%to $ 61.9 billion, supported by an increase in energy products by 4.2%, including 2.3%increase in crude exports. Vehicle exports and spare parts also rose by 6.6%, as the CAA indicated that seasonal stops in car factories were less severe this year due to the productive slowdown partly related to American fees.
