“Coffee World Dubai” enhances direct communication between producers and global buyers

On its second day, the “World of Coffee Dubai 2026” exhibition continued to present an extensive commercial and professional program, focusing on enhancing trade opportunities and direct communication between coffee producers from countries of origin and global buyers, in addition to learning and professional development programs, in a way that strengthens its position in a specialized global labor market for the specialty coffee industry.
The exhibition maintained its momentum, after an opening day that recorded a 30% increase in the number of visitors compared to the previous edition, attracting thousands of specialists from producers, traders, farmers, roasters, buyers and suppliers, with the continuation of business meetings, tasting sessions, live performances, competitions, technical discussions, and workshops in various corners of the exhibition.
The auction of rare and luxurious coffee beans was one of the most prominent commercial stations of the second day, as it allowed buyers to evaluate the coffee through tasting sessions before entering into the immediate bidding, thus enhancing the transparency of quality-based pricing.
The auction recorded the highest bid, selling one kilogram at a value of US$3,075 (more than 13,000 dirhams) for naturally processed “Geisha” coffee, via the “M-Cultivo” platform, indicative of the high demand for high-quality coffee whose source can be traced.
Alpro Sales Director, Sanjeev Dinesh Fernando, said, “The company has been participating in the World of Coffee Exhibition since its inception, because its products are closely linked to coffee, and every year the exhibition continues to grow, and the company’s participation continually contributes to generating strong opportunities and promising businesses.”
For his part, the co-founder of Tajer Coffee and sponsor of the Roasters Village, Mohammed Al Hammadi, said, “This is his company’s first participation in the exhibition, and also the first time that the company sponsors the Roasters Village,” noting the volume of interaction at the exhibition, which confirms the correctness of the decision to support a pivotal event of this size for the industry.
In parallel with the auctions, the session for producers of countries of origin discussed ways to access markets, create value, and develop relationships between producers and buyers, while highlighting the adaptation of production countries to changing consumer expectations, sustainability priorities, and the importance of transparency and long-term partnerships within the specialty coffee value chain.
The second day also witnessed the progress of the competition programs, as the roasting championship entered a pivotal technical phase through sessions for presenting roasting plans, during which competitors presented roasting strategies, methods for preparing thermal files, and quality goals, to be evaluated according to approved international standards, in addition to the continuation of the activities of the World Jug Championships for the year 2026.
Director of the Dubai Coffee World Exhibition, Shouq Bin Reda, said, “The second day reflected the exhibition’s position as a major pivotal market for the specialty coffee sector. From the live tasting auction and producer dialogues, to local and international championships and professional learning programs, the program focused on practical exchange, quality assessment, and achieving commercial results that push the industry forward.”
. The “exhibition” witnessed an auction for the sale of one kilogram of naturally processed “Geisha” coffee, with a value exceeding 13 thousand dirhams.
