"Imperial College Diabetes" The 2nd Conference on Education on Diabetes in Abu Dhabi is organized

Abu Dhabi, September 8/ WAM/ The Imperial College London Diabetes and Endocrinology Center, affiliated with the M42 Group, organized the second conference on diabetes, with the participation of more than 300 health care professionals from different groups, including nursing, nutrition science and pharmacy and an education specialist on diabetes and support health specialties.
The conference was held under the slogan “Diagnosis and treatments, human experience and technological capabilities to enhance awareness of diabetes – a meeting of human experience with technology to develop the care of diabetics in the region and abroad” and discussed a wide range of axes that focused on combining medical expertise and modern technologies in order to improve methods of treatment and enhance health education.
The sessions reviewed the role of artificial intelligence and digital technologies in developing diagnosis and treatment, as well as discussing the best global practices in managing the disease and touched on major issues such as obesity as a major factor at risk, ways to prevent them, and the importance of proper nutrition and physical activity in patients ’lives.
The conference highlighted the most prominent daily challenges facing patients, most notably the difficulty of maintaining stable levels of sugar in the blood and adapting to long -term treatment plans, stressing the importance of strengthening communication channels between patients and health care providers to ensure better results.
Interactive workshops allowed the participants the opportunity to see the latest medical devices such as continuous monitoring systems of glucose and smart insulin pumps, and getting to know how to use them to enable patients to manage their condition more effectively.
Dr. Mai Al -Jaber, CEO of the Imperial College London Diabetes and Endocrinology Center, confirmed that the conference renews the center’s commitment to developing patient care throughout the region, by providing health care professionals with the latest scientific developments and the necessary practical skills.
She explained that the great demand witnessed by the conference this year reflects the urgent need for cooperative curricula in dealing with diabetes, noting that the center plays a pivotal role in enabling health care teams to achieve better results for patients in the UAE and the Gulf region, which contributes to improving the quality of their lives through education and innovation and providing global integrated care.
For her part, Dr. Tamader Ali, President of the Conference, Director of Sukkari Education at the Center, said that the conference created a unique space that combined clinical excellence, artificial intelligence and techniques based on algorithms, to make personal care a tangible reality that opens new horizons for the future of patient treatment.
She added that the program was specially designed to enable education specialists about diabetes, nutritionists, nurses, pharmacists and other health care cadres, who stand on the front lines to provide support to patients.
In turn, Aziza Ahmed Mohamed Ahmed, a diabetic health intellectual in Burjeel Hospital, explained that the sessions that discussed professional development paths and overcoming challenges in the field of health education, stressing that discussions about artificial intelligence and data based on data and new technical solutions highlighted new horizons to better involve patients and allocate their care experiences.
