Sharjah brings together senior international officials and experts in "We contain" To integrate people with mental disabilities

Sharjah, September 8 / WAM / The World Congress will host 2025 “We Humanity”, whose next session will be held for the first time in the Middle East and North Africa in the Emirate of Sharjah 152 speakers from 72 countries representing an elite group of leaders, experts and decision makers in the fields of human rights, health, education and social policies.

The conference, which will be held at the Expo Center, will bring together the heads of international organizations, international organizations, ministers, government officials and academics alongside self-supporters and young leaders, to constitute the largest global gathering of its kind to discuss integration issues, empowerment of persons with mental disabilities, and to provide innovative visions that contribute to formulating more comprehensive and fair policies at the regional and international levels.

Sheikha Jamila bint Muhammad Al Qasimi, head of the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services, participates in her experience in human rights and social work since the 1980s, and she talks in the conference about her experience in establishing regional and international initiatives to empower people with disabilities and the achievements she has achieved to obtain more than one honorary doctorate and prestigious humanitarian awards.

Prince Marad bin Raad visits the conversations of the conference with his extensive experience as head of the Supreme Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to present his visions in promoting rights and drafting policies as well as his international role as a special envoy to the Treaty of the Mine’s Prohibition and his efforts to support and empower military injured.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Duaij Al Khalifa contributes to the conference from his position as Chairman of the Bahraini Paralympic Committee and a member of the Board of Directors of the Asian Paralympic Committee to present his vision on the role of sport in empowering persons with disabilities, as well as benefiting from his economic and social experience in linking development to social responsibility.

His Excellency Mona Abdel Karim Al -Yafii participates in the conference as the Director General of the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services, Vice President of the Comprehensive Humility Organization for the Middle East and North Africa region, where she provides her experience in developing educational and rehabilitation programs and managing scientific conferences specialized in disability.

Sheikha Sheikha Al Qasimi enriches the conversations of the conference as one of the most prominent faces of self -advocacy in the Arab region, where she represents the voice of people with Down syndrome through her participation in international conferences to defend the right to education, work and independent living.

The conference will host Soo Ellen Swinsen, which holds the position of International Contestation Organization, the largest global network representing persons with intellectual disabilities and their families in more than 115 countries. A high advisor also worked in the administration of Presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden at the US Department of Education, where she took over the files of special education and rehabilitation and is one of the most prominent voices affecting the United Nations in defending the right to make decisions and full participation For persons with disabilities.

Jose Maria Vieira, Executive Director of the International Disability Alliance (IDA), is participating in the conference sessions, based on more than 20 years of experience in promoting integration and equality and from his former position as CEO of the World Federation of the Blind provides his vision on supporting the rights of persons with disabilities in the countries of the world.

Diane Retler adds to the conference its weight as one of the characters who contributed to the drafting of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the reality of her experience as a former president of the International Coalition for Disability and a leadership in programmatic education initiatives that provide her vision on building more comprehensive education systems.

Judy Car comes to the conference with his experience as a former education minister in the Canadian New Bronzwek Province and the owner of the Policy 322, which has become a global model and participates in his experiences in the field of legislation and public policies that enhance the right to inclusive education that is compatible with the United Nations Agreement.

Rehab Borsley, a member of the United Nations Experts Committee for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, participates in the conference with her experience in leading civil and sports societies in Kuwait and provides her experience as Chairman of the Kuwaiti Association for Persons with Disabilities and the National Director of the Special Olympics to learn about its successes in transferring international experiences to the Gulf arena.

Among the prominent figures in the conference dialogues Michael Haddad is the goodwill ambassador for the United Nations Development Program to the Climate Work to present his story as a model for challenging the disability and linking it to climate issues, despite his partial paralysis, he was able to accomplish remarkable sporting adventures that made him a global symbol of will and change.
