On behalf of the President of the State, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi participates in the virtual summit of the leaders of the countries of the “Brix” group

On behalf of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State “may God protect him”, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, participated today in the virtual summit of the leaders of the countries of the “BRICS” group, which was opened by Luis Inacio Lula Da Silva, President of the Federal Republic of Brazil.

His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan delivered the speech of the UAE, during which he conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him”, to the participating countries, and his sincere wishes for the success of the summit.

His Highness expressed the UAE’s appreciation for the relevant efforts made by Brazil in leading the “BRICS” group since the beginning of the year, and the important results achieved by the 17th summit of the group hosted by the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro, on July 6 and 7.

His Highness stressed the importance of the “BRICS” group as an effective framework for international work to achieve the development of its countries and peoples, and to support joint global prosperity, which represents the UAE’s continuous approach to building economic and commercial partnerships that enhance sustainable development, and return with good and growth on all countries of the world.

During the virtual summit, ways to enhance joint cooperation and discuss solutions to support foreign trade movement between member states of the “BRICS” group, enhance economic integration by establishing joint projects in the fields of infrastructure, energy, digital transformation, and pushing the wheel of sustainable growth in developing countries, in addition to enhancing political dialogue on global economic issues, and the challenges facing the global trade system.
