Emirati Children’s Day reflects the country’s commitment to protecting childhood and empowering future generations

The Attorney General of the Federation, Counselor Dr. Hamad Saif Al Shamsi, confirmed that Emirati Children’s Day represents an important national occasion to reaffirm the place that childhood occupies in the vision of the UAE, in light of the care given by the wise leadership to safeguard the rights of children and ensure their upbringing in a safe and stable environment that enhances their capabilities and supports their talents.

The Attorney General explained that this occasion reflects the humanitarian approach of the UAE in establishing an integrated system for child protection and care, and building generations capable of contributing to the development process in line with the country’s ambitions during the coming decades.

The Attorney General pointed out that the UAE has established an advanced model in the field of caring for and empowering children, through a legislative and institutional system that guarantees them protection, social, educational and health care, based on the realization that investing in childhood is an investment in the future of the nation.

He stressed that celebrating Emirati Children’s Day this year is in harmony with the message of the Year of the Family, which highlights the role of the family as the primary incubator for instilling values ​​and developing personality, which enhances the stability of society and provides a supportive environment for children’s physical, intellectual and social development.

He added that this occasion constitutes a call to all community institutions to strengthen joint efforts in protecting children’s rights and establishing a culture of social responsibility towards the emerging generations, in a way that guarantees them a decent life and contributes to building a more stable and secure society.

The Attorney General also praised the pioneering role of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Emirates,” President of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, in launching the Emirati Children’s Day initiative, and her contributions to enhancing awareness of children’s rights and motivating government and private agencies and civil society institutions to support national programs concerned with childhood.
