Trump spoke with Netanyahu and the Emir of Qatar after the Israeli attack

White House spokeswoman Caroline Levit said that US President Donald Trump had contacted the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, after the Israeli strike that targeted leaders of Hamas in Doha.

Trump described, according to the spokeswoman, targeting Hamas as “a goal worth doing”, but he assured Doha that such an “will not be repeated on its soil.”

She explained that the Pentagon informed the US administration that Israel would attack Hamas in Qatar, noting that the American envoy Steve Witkev asked him to inform the Qataris of the imminent attack.

The spokeswoman stressed that the bombing was unilateral in a sovereign state and an ally of the United States, stressing that such a behavior “does not serve the Israeli or American targets”, and that Trump did not agree to the Israeli attack in Qatar, and that Trump’s warning of Hamas has nothing to do with the Israeli attack in Doha.

It also revealed that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu informed Trump that he “wants to achieve peace quickly.”
