Sharjah hosts the start of the AFC Champions League for the 15th of this month

According to the AFC report issued today, the Emirati Al -Wahda Club, the local league champion 4 times and the third in the 2024/2025 season, begins its eleventh participation in the championship, and the first since 2021, at 8:00 pm the same day; Where the Saudi Al -Ittihad club will host the Al Nahyan Stadium in Abu Dhabi, in a seventh meeting between the two clubs in the tournament.
For its part, Al -Ahly Youth Club returns to the championship for the tenth time, after achieving the local dualism in the 2024/2025 season, and it will host the Rashid Stadium in Dubai, the Iranian Club, in a meeting held at 8:00 pm on September 16.

On the other hand, the Saudi Al -Ahly Club, which was crowned the title in the last version without any loss, begins the campaign to defend its title at 9:15 pm on September 15th at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, and this is the fourteenth participation of the club, where Nassaf Al -Uzbek club, the domestic league champion in Uzbekistan for the first time in its history in 2024, which is running the championship for the seventh time. The two teams met 4 times previously, and Al -Ahly won twice and tied once.
It is noteworthy that the round of 16 of the tournament will be held between 2 and 11 March 2026, with the tournament to be concluded with the gathering system in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the period from 17 to 25 April 2026.
