Animal Zoo in the Ain is a member of the World Association Waza

Al Ain on September 10/ WAM/ The Animal Zoo obtained the membership of the World Association of zoos and water basins as a member institution, to join the largest and most important international institutions working in the field of wildlife protection, animal care, sustainability, and environmental education.

Walid Saeed Al -Saidi, Managing Director of the General Organization of the Zoo and Aquaculture in the Ain, stressed that this achievement reflects the strategic trend and the environmental vision of the Abu Dhabi government 2030 towards preserving biological diversity, habitors and natural heritage of the present and the future, which achieves the garden message aimed at preserving wildlife through the development of knowledge, caring for species and enhancing awareness and positive behavior towards biological diversity, which enhances The role of the park as an international presence in the field of environmental protection and nature preservation. For his part, Eng. Ahmed Issa Al -Harrasi, Director General of the Acting Zoo and Aquatic Biology Corporation, said that this achievement is added to the record of the animal park achievements in Al Ain; The World Association of Zoos and Aquacultures is one of the most prestigious and leading international bodies in supporting and motivating institutions concerned with animal care and providing education and nature maintenance programs on a global scale.

Waza membership is a direct product of the efforts of the zoo in the eye, which possesses a group of experienced and passionate cadres in the field of preserving nature and protecting wildlife, which enhances its global position as a leading institution in this sector, in addition to its role in providing inspiring entertainment experiences that contribute to raising societal awareness of the importance of protecting wildlife while preserving the safe and natural environment for various types of animals, as it is one of the most prominent tourist destinations Educational in the UAE and the region.

It is worth noting that this is the second membership of the Animal Garden in the Ain during the current year 2025, where the first achievement was in the Association of Zoos and Aquariums AZA, which is one of the highest global credits in the zoos sector.
